For Performers & Writers

Cleveland Public Theatre supports all local artists and is committed to fostering the work of area playwrights and performers. Cleveland Public Theatre continues to seek ways to support new and local work. CPT serves developing work at different stages through Big [BOX], Little Box and The Dark Room.

Cleveland Public Theatre produces 6-10 plays a year. CPT's emphasis is to produce adventurous plays that are somehow outside the mainstream -- politically, aesthetically, socially, etceteras. We seek works that challenge and amaze. We are especially interested in works by minorities, women, and local writers (Northeastern Ohio). Submissions are considered for production and for staged readings in our Little Box Series.
