Verb Ballets

Verb Ballets Spring Series

Verb Ballets’ performance at DanceWorks ’15 will feature two tales of desire and desperation. Back by popular demand, Carmen: The Story of Passion reinterprets the timeless tale through choreography by Associate Director, Richard Dickinson. A second work, Laura’s Women, speaks to the experiences of women caught in a world of poverty and loneliness—inspired by the music and life of blues singer, Laura Nyro.

Verb Ballets, under the direction of Director, Dr. Margaret Carlson and Associate Director, Richard Dickinson, MFA, is dedicated to showcasing creative works that highlight the classically trained dancers in contemporary choreography.

“Confident and polished, Verb’s dancers shone.”
