Kwingo’s Sketch Party: Queer for the Holidays
About the creator
KADIJAH WINGO, affectionately known as “Kwingo,” is carving out new spaces in theater, sketch, and stand-up comedy. With formal theatrical training, magnetic charisma, and sharp comedic instincts, she’s not just making room for herself—she’s opening doors for anyone who’s ever felt on the margins of these scenes.
Her acting journey began at Cleveland School of the Arts and continued at Ohio University’s School of Theater. These days, she lights up local stages at Don’t Tell Comedy (CLE), Imposters Theater, Con Tú Variety Show, and Snowflake Comedy. She co-wrote, co-produced, and directed BLK Stream—Imposters Theater’s first all-Black sketch show! A bold milestone for her and the fabric of Cleveland comedy.
Behind the curtain as a producer, Kadijah is just as electric. As the National New Play Network’s Producer in Residence at Cleveland Public Theatre, she’s line-produced well-received shows like The End of Black Excellence, the sold-out Showin’ Up Black, and her own Kwingo’s Comedy Revue—a Pride Month spectacular featuring comedy, music, drag, and burlesque.
Whether on stage or behind the scenes, Kadijah thrives on collaboration and storytelling that centers underrepresented voices. Her work invites you to laugh, reflect, and connect through a shared sense of humanity we all need.
