TEST FLIGHT is a multi-week series that showcases new work on its way to full production. TEST FLIGHT provides both local and national artists with the keys to the theatre and the opportunity to co-produce original works-in-progress. TEST FLIGHT encourages risk-taking and an entrepreneurial spirit towards creating new work while offering artists a structured support system, activating an art-focused environment.

**This TEST FLIGHT weekend (April 6–8) is specially priced. The second half of the Double Bill was unable to participate due to unforeseen circumstances. All performances (Thu/Fri/Sat) for TEST FLIGHT Week #3: NOONDAY are $10.**

The James Levin Theatre is ADA compliant, featuring a patron elevator and gender neutral, wheelchair accessible restroom.

On an otherwise unremarkable day, the furniture starts moving… and What’s Been Hiding Under the Table (or in a bowl of breakfast cereal) turns a woman’s world upside down.

Cathleen O’Malley is an actor, director, educator and voiceover artist. As a creator of original work, Cathleen has enjoyed collaborations with companies regionally and abroad, including Akropolis Performance Lab, Relax Your Face Theatre, Zany Umbrella Circus and with inmates of the Washington State Corrections Center for Women through Freehold Studio’s Engaged Theatre Project, among others. Prior to joining CPT staff in 2013, Cathleen served as the Education Director and Ensemble Member of Touchstone Theatre, where she managed the company’s award-winning education division and was a core devisor on three seasons of original shows. Cleveland stage credits include Mr. Burns – A Post-Electric Play, Spirits to EnforceFire on the Water and Earth Plays at CPT, and performance installations Cultivated and I AM CYBORG at Pandemonium ’13 and ’16 with Noonday collaborator Lauren Joy Fraley, and performances with Ensemble Theatre, Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Mamaí Theatre Company, Playwrights Local, as well as a recurring character on the satirical “Radio People” podcast. Cathleen’s directing credits include CPT’s 2015 and 2016 productions of The Santaland Diaries at Playhouse Square, as well as Talespinner and numerous short works for CPT. Cathleen is a graduate of the London International School of Performing Arts and holds an MFA from Naropa University. Lauren Joy Fraley is a teaching artist and performer-creator in Cleveland. Lauren spent over 5 years on Playhouse Square’s Community Engagement & Education team, where she led professional development sessions for educators, managed Playhouse Square’s pre-K arts programming and led the “Classroom Connections” teaching artist ensemble from 2012-2015. She is currently a member of Theater Ninja’s Cadre of creative producers, creating, producing, and performing in new out-of-the-ordinary theatrical experiences such as The Last Day (a three-dimensional novel filled with puzzles and unseen spirits) and her short multi-media solo work, Auxiliary (a part of Broken Codes: a multi-artist inquiry of women’s roles in technology and artificial intelligence). Lauren’s past credits as a performer at CPT include: Ancestra, Airwaves, Earth Plays, and The Secret Social, in collaboration with Conni’s Avant Garde Restaurant. She and Cathleen O’Malley also co-created and performed in Cultivated and I AM CYBORG, for CPT’s annual Pandemonium event, and is thrilled to be teaming up again in producing the workshop production of Noonday for CPT’s Test Flight series. www.laurenjoyfraley.com
