Each year Cleveland Public Theatre welcomes the opportunity to showcase Northeast Ohio's contemporary dance companies as they premiere new work and revive celebrated performances. DanceWorks Week 3 features work created by Verb Ballets.

Fresh Inventions is built on the creative talent of company dancers Megan Buckley, Michael Hinton, Stephaen Hood, Nicholas Rose and Kate Webb. Fresh Inventions gives the dancers of Verb Ballets the opportunity to tap into a new realm of artistic development by experiencing the other side of creation: choreography. This experience allows the audience to view work through the dancers’ creative lens.
Verb Ballets is proud to present the artistry of cutting edge choreography paired with classic balletic works that have moved audiences for decades. Under the direction of Dr. Margaret Carlson, Producing Artistic Director and Richard Dickinson, MFA, Associate Director, critics have hailed Verb Ballets as, “Dashes preconceptions …with keen dramatic power.” – The Plain Dealer. Verb Ballets connects with the community in meaningful ways to develop appreciation for dance through performances and outreach programs that promote learning and nurture wellness. Verb Ballets has also been named one of Five Great Tiny Troupes in America by Dance Magazine and was one of the 25 dance companies in America to watch.
