CPT Hiring Part-Time, Ongoing Facilities Associate & Substitute/Overhire Associates

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is hiring for a Part-Time, Ongoing Facilities Associate & Substitute/Overhire Associates to join the CPT staff and contribute to our success and community. This is an integral role at CPT. You will enable impressive theatre and art experiences by collaborating to make a great environment. 

The CPT physical environment is a campus consisting of three buildings and a parking lot. Inside the three buildings are two performance venues, rehearsal halls, and offices.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Facilities tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager including but not limited to the following areas: 

  • Maintaining janitorial & facilities supplies and equipment inventory & stock 
  • Clean all patron and employee spaces daily or as scheduled 
  • Light maintenance and repairs assigned 
  • Assist in preparing spaces for ongoing programming, private rentals, and special events 
  • Upkeep of landscaping, building exteriors, and parking lot 
  • Report facilities issues to Operations Manager and execute remedies as discussed
  • Report on security issues  
  • Meet weekly with Operations Manager to review and plan 

Compensation: $15–17/hour based on skills and experience.

Part-Time Ongoing Facilities Associate will work up to 30 hours a week with an average of 16 to 20 hours per week. *Must be available five days a week and some weekends with notice. 

Substitute/Overhire Facilities Associates will work as needed, covering special events, weekends, or substitute during the week. Must be available with notice for weekends.  

Hours: General work hours are 8:30am–12:30pm. However, frequency of special events and support of programming will stretch work into the afternoons or evenings and weekends for special events.

BASE SKILLS 

  • Ability to walk, climb extended ladders, stretch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to operate and maintain hand and power tools
  • Able to drive, with a valid driver’s license
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with handyman experience or experience in one more construction trade, e.g. electrical, carpentry, paints and finishes.
