Paige Conway Promoted to Associate Artistic Director

Cleveland Public Theatre’s Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan is proud to announce the promotion of Associate Producer Paige Conway to Associate Artistic Director, a role that is part of CPT’s senior leadership team. In the four years Paige has been a part of CPT, she has demonstrated grace under pressure and a knack for working with and bringing together artists and staff of all walks of life. A consummate team player and visionary, she has shown great artistry as a director first with Funny, Like an Abortion and last season with The Body Play, with both productions receiving popular and critical acclaim. She has also brought great insight and creativity to the annual Pandemonium benefit and Test Flight new play development series. We look forward to seeing what this next chapter brings for CPT and the Greater Cleveland theatre community.

“Over her tenure at Cleveland Public Theatre, Paige has demonstrated excellence as a producer of new work, large-scale events, and artist development programs. She has a keen ability to advance CPT’s culture of ensemble—an ethos that pervades all of our programs and shapes how we build with artists and community. As a director, Paige blends rigorous physicality with deep heart, bringing layered meaning and clarity to socially engaged new scripts. I am excited for our work ahead as we deepen our support of artists and strengthen our relationships with the communities we serve.”

“It’s been an immense privilege to work with our deeply engaged community of artists for the last few years. Their commitment to our work and its potential to create change that will far surpass our present moment is so rare and something I hold very close. A huge part of my personal artistic process lays in allowing space for artists to heal in community with each other, in allowing for us to acknowledge our mess, our hurt, our joy as acts of communal strength—thank you for embracing this work and this process, even as it moves into administrative pathways. It’s been an honor to serve you, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue that service and further deepen our relationships as CPT’s Associate Artistic Director.”
