Cleveland Public Theatre is hiring a Pandemonium Intern

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is hiring a part-time Pandemonium Intern, who will play a key role in this annual CPT event and make a meaningful contribution to its success and impact.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to Jennifer Shepard, Donor Relations Associate, at jshepard@cptonline.org by end of day April 3, 2022. Subject line should read: [LAST NAME], Pandemonium Intern. No phone calls, please.

Job Description

Every September, Cleveland Public Theatre hosts its one and only fundraising spectacular: Pandemonium! It takes over 6 months to plan; hosts over 1,300 guests, 200 artists who donate their time, and 100 volunteers; and raises over $350,000 each year for our programming. For 2022, we are planning an in-person, predominantly outdoor event.

There is a great need for extra help in the summer as the event approaches. In this capacity, the intern would work directly with our Director of Organizational Advancement, Donor Relations Associate, and other CPT staff on a wide variety of event planning tasks. These tasks include, among others: proofreading content, coordinating mailing lists, liaising with vendors, helping to orient the volunteers, co-managing day-of guest registration, and building relationships with ticket buyers and sponsors. Because of the large-scale nature of Pandemonium, the intern plays an essential role in coordinating the many moving parts leading up to the event, and ensuring a smooth process day-of. A positive attitude, ability to maintain accurate attention to many details, and strong customer service skills are great assets.

While the largest project the intern would undertake is preparation for Pandemonium, in the true spirit of CPT’s work culture, we may also call upon the intern to support the marketing, box office, finance, and/or artistic departments, especially in any area of interest for the intern. We will provide ample training for all required tasks.

Pandemonium will be held on September 10, 2022, with the bulk of the work taking place in the months prior. The intern receives one ticket for an additional guest and is welcome to enjoy the event after guest registration has ended.
