Estreno Regional.

About the play…

Florida, 1929, inside a Cuban-American cigar factory, cigars are rolled by hand and “lectors” are employed to entertain factory workers. A new lector’s arrival is cause for celebration, but when he reads Anna Karenina aloud, he becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics, and the “American Dream” prove a volatile combination. Performed in Spanish with English subtitles. Regional Premiere.
