OVERHIRE TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION 

This role reports to the Technical Director (TD). This role assists shop staff with ongoing technical needs to support Pandemonium, Station Hope and CPT productions.  

Candidates should have experience in theatrical set building, be able to read and hang a light plot and have experience in some of the following skills: sound/lighting/projections/props/fabrication/scenic arts 

Hours for this role vary depending on time of year, production needs and technician availability. Rate of pay begins at $18/hr and goes up based on experience. 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Implementation of Technical Aspects for Productions 

• Build and install sets for productions 
• Hang, patch, and focus light plot for productions and series 
• Install sound plot for productions and series 
• Install and focus projectors as needed for productions and series 

Manage Scene Shop and Technical Equipment 

• Maintain scene shop to meet CPT standards of safety, organization, and cleanliness 
• Maintain, repair, and purchase technical equipment as needed
